In brief

Bottle Coatings uses website information to understand project interest, respond to requests, and improve its packaging tools. Individual email journeys are connected through opaque tracked-link tokens, not IP-address matching.

Information collected

When you request a quote or send a project inquiry, Bottle Coatings receives the information you provide, such as your name, business email, company, phone number, estimated volume, project notes, selected package configuration, uploaded artwork, and generated package preview images.

The website also records limited first-party activity, including pages viewed, use of the Finish Studio, opening the quote form, and submitting a quote or contact request. A random browser session identifier is used to count visits; it does not contain your name or email address.

Email campaign tracking

Some Bottle Coatings emails may contain a unique one-pixel image and an individualized link. A request for the image can record that the email was loaded, along with first and most recent request times and a request count. Image blocking, privacy services, caching, and automated security systems can make this signal incomplete or inaccurate.

When an individualized link is used, Bottle Coatings records the click and places an opaque attribution token in that browser's local storage for up to 90 days. During that period, page visits, Finish Studio interactions, quote-form openings, quote submissions, and contact submissions can be shown as a chronological journey for the corresponding campaign recipient.

The attribution token is removed from the visible address after it is captured. Public tracking URLs do not contain the recipient's email address. Bottle Coatings does not store or compare IP addresses to build recipient journeys.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to packaging inquiries, prepare and manage quotes, understand which pages and design tools are useful, measure outreach performance, maintain site security, and improve Bottle Coatings services. Authorized administrators and approved operational agents can access protected quote, inquiry, and campaign records.

If Google Analytics is configured, Google may also process website analytics information under its own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and choices

The browser attribution token expires after 90 days. Recipient journeys are limited to 500 recorded events per campaign recipient. Deleting an email campaign from the Bottle Coatings administration system also deletes its associated recipient journey history.

You can remove the attribution token sooner by clearing site data for bottlecoatings.com in your browser. You may also contact Bottle Coatings to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you. Applicable rights can vary based on your location and the nature of the business relationship.
